Keep reading and Discover

When your stories for the day or month are used up, Keep reading offers stories you can open right away, under the story, or in its place when no story is open. Opening them doesn’t use up any stories. Discover, in your Library, has more stories at your level any time.

Keep reading when you’re out of stories

All plans. Once today’s or this month’s stories are used up, the Generate button is replaced by a message, and a card appears under the reader.

  1. Read the message at the top of the card. It says when new stories arrive.
  2. Under Keep reading, look at the two short lists:
    • Your recent stories: up to three stories you made or opened lately.
    • Discover stories at your level: up to three stories other learners made, in the language and level on your form.
  3. Choose a story to open it in the reader.
  4. To see more, choose See all. Your Library opens on Recent, or on Discover if you have no recent stories.

The card only lists what there is. A brand-new account may see the message alone.

When your stories run out, Keep reading offers stories you can open right away.

Example

Tom has made all his free stories this month. Under Keep reading he opens a Korean A1 story from Discover stories at your level, and reads it without waiting for new stories.

Read a Discover story any time

You don’t have to run out of stories to use Discover. Under any story in the Story Studio, choose More stories at your level. A Keep reading panel opens right there with your recent stories and Discover stories at your level. Choose one to open it, or See all to go to your Library. You can also:

  1. Open your Library.
  2. Choose the Discover tab. It lists stories in the language and level on your Story Studio form, with translations in your Interface language.
  3. Choose a story to open it.

A Discover story you open goes into Recent, like a story you made. To keep it, choose the bookmark in the reader’s toolbar (Save this story to Library). For more, see Discover.

Do Discover stories use up my stories?

No. Reading a Discover story, or any story in your Library, never counts toward your daily or monthly stories, on any plan.

How many Discover stories are there?

It depends on the language and level. Discover holds stories other learners made from Stichos’s own topics, checked the same way as yours, and it grows as learners make stories. Stories already in your Saved or Recent never show there.

If there’s nothing left for your language and level, Discover says “No new Discover stories for this language and level yet. Try another level, or make a story of your own.”
