Archive and delete
Archive tucks a saved story out of sight without removing it; Restore brings it back. Delete saved story removes it from your Library for good. Archiving and restoring need a confirmed email address.
Archive a saved story
- Open your Library, on the Your stories tab.
- Under Saved, choose … on the story’s card (More actions for …).
- Choose Archive. A message says “Story archived”.
The story moves to Archived at the end of Saved (or at the end of its language’s group). Archived stories still count toward your saved stories, and still open, export, and play their audio as before.
Example
Sarah has finished her A1 Croatian stories and moved up to A2. She archives the A1 ones so Saved shows only what she’s reading now.
Archive several stories at once
- Next to Saved, choose the checkbox button (Select stories). It turns blue and a checkbox shows on each story.
- Tick the stories you want to archive. There’s no limit.
- At the bottom of the Library, choose Archive selected. A message says how many were archived, for example “3 stories archived”.
- Choose the checkbox button again to leave Select.
Find and restore an archived story
- At the end of Saved, choose Archived (it shows how many, for example Archived (4)). The list unfolds.
- Choose a card to read the story, or choose … on its card, then Restore.
- A message says “Story restored”, and the story is back in Saved.
Delete a saved story
- Under Saved, choose … on the story’s card.
- Choose Delete saved story.
Stichos asks first: “Delete this story from your Library? This can’t be undone.” (With audio: “Delete this story from your Library? Audio you got for it stays yours.”) Choose Delete, or Keep to stop. Once deleted, the story can’t be brought back, and it doesn’t return to Recent either. “Removed from Library” confirms it.
Tip
Not sure you’ll want a story again? Archive it instead. You can always restore an archived story.
Remove a story from your Library while reading it
- With the story open, choose the filled bookmark in the toolbar (Remove from Library).
- A message says “Removed from Library”.
Removed this way, the story usually goes back into Recent, so you can still find it. If it has audio, Stichos asks first; its audio stays yours.
Remove a story from Recent
- Under Recent, choose … on the story’s card.
- Choose Remove from Recent.
- Stichos asks: “Remove this story from Recent? It isn’t saved, so it can’t be brought back.” Choose Remove, or Keep to stop.
A message says “Removed from Recent.”
Does archiving free up room on Free?
No. Free counts every saved story, archived ones included. To make room, delete stories, or upgrade for no limit. See Plans and limits.
If I delete a story, do I lose its audio?
No. Audio you got for a story stays yours, as the question before deleting says. Replaying audio you already have never uses your minutes. See Audio.
