Story Studio at a glance

The Story Studio is where you make a story: you pick a language, a level, and a topic, choose Generate, and Stichos writes the story for you. The form sits at the top of the page, and your new story opens right under it, in the reader. Every plan can make stories on Random or a topic from the list, at any level from A0 to B2; Learner Plus and Educator Studio add your own topics and key words.

Fill in the form, then choose Generate.

What’s on the form?

The form has three parts, top to bottom:

  1. Reading: the Target language you’re learning and the Level.
  2. Story: the Topic (Random, Browse, or Custom) and the Format (Story or Dialogue).
  3. What to practice: Key words, the words the story must use. This part needs Learner Plus or Educator Studio.

At the bottom, a short line says what you’ll get, for example “A1 story in Croatian”, next to the Generate button.

Example

Sarah is learning Croatian at A1. She leaves the topic on Random, keeps Story, and chooses Generate. About half a minute later, a short Croatian story opens under the form.

Where do my stories go?

Every story you make goes into Recent in your Library, so you can find it again. Recent keeps only your most recent stories, so save the ones you want to keep with the bookmark in the reader’s toolbar. See Library and Word Bank.
