Educator Studio at a glance
Educator Studio is where you make lesson stories for your students: you pick the story language, your students’ language, the level, and the words and tenses to practice, choose Generate, and Stichos writes it. Every new story is saved as a draft, so you can read it, fix any line, and choose Publish before anyone sees it. Then you share it with one link, which students open in any browser.
Educator Studio needs the Educator Studio plan. Tutors land here when they sign in. To move between Educator Studio, the Story Studio, and the Dashboard, choose the mode button at the top of the app (it shows where you are, such as Educator Studio) and pick one.
What’s on the Educator Studio page?
On a computer, the page has three columns:
- Stories, on the left: every story you’ve made here, grouped by unit, with its status (Draft, Published, or Shared). Choose a story to open it.
- The form and the story, in the middle. The form sits at the top. Once a story is open, the form folds to one line (level, language, topic, and unit). Choose Change settings on that line to open it again. The story opens under it, in the same reader your students see.
- Words, on the right: your word lists, one per unit, ready to use as key words.
On a phone or tablet, the three are tabs in the bar at the bottom of the screen: Studio, Stories, and Words.
What does the story preview show?
The story opens the way a student will see it on your link. A note under the title says so: “Students open the story the way it looks now, and can change the layout themselves.”
- The reader toolbar has the Layout (Guided, Assisted, or Solo), the text size, Highlight key words (switched off for a story with no key words), Export, and Full screen. See The reader at a glance.
- Under the toolbar, a bar shows the story’s status: Draft · not shared yet, or Published with the date. It holds Edit, Publish (drafts only), Export, and Flag a line.
- Once a story is published, the bar adds its Share link.
Example
Elena teaches Russian to English speakers. She opens Educator Studio, picks Russian, English, and A0, and chooses Generate. The new story appears in the middle as a draft, and at the top of Stories. She reads it, fixes one line with Edit in the bar, and chooses Publish.
Do Educator Studio stories show up in my Library?
No. Stories you make here stay in Educator Studio, under Stories. Your Library and Recent belong to your own learning in the Story Studio. See Library and Word Bank.
